Terms of Service
These terms apply to the ShiftCrew early-access event-staffing marketplace, operated by ShiftCrew. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. Questions: support@joinshiftcrew.com.
1. Who can use ShiftCrew
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding agreement. Give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. One person per account.
2. What ShiftCrew does
ShiftCrew is a listing and messaging tool that connects event vendors with people looking for short event shifts. ShiftCrew is not an employer, staffing agency, or party to any agreement between vendors and workers. We do not guarantee work, applicants, attendance, quality, or payment, and we do not run identity or background checks.
3. Vendors
Post only real shifts you are authorized to fill, with accurate duties, pay, times, and location. You are responsible for paying workers as agreed, for worker classification, taxes, permits, insurance, and complying with labor and anti-discrimination laws that apply to you.
4. Workers
Apply only for shifts you can work. Confirm pay, payment method, and arrangements with the vendor before accepting. You are responsible for your own taxes and for deciding whether a shift is right and safe for you.
5. Payments
This version does not process payments. Vendors and workers arrange and settle compensation directly. ShiftCrew does not hold funds and charges no fees in this pilot.
6. Acceptable use
No unlawful, discriminatory, misleading, or unsafe postings; no harassment, spam, scams, or attempts to access other accounts or disrupt the service. Do not share sensitive personal information in listings, messages, or reviews. Reviews must reflect real completed shifts.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give ShiftCrew permission to host and display it to operate the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.
8. Privacy
How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Pilot service, no warranty
ShiftCrew is an early-access pilot provided “as is” and may change, have errors, or be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, ShiftCrew disclaims all warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for disputes, injuries, losses, or non-payment between vendors and workers.
10. Disputes between users
Vendors and workers are responsible for resolving their own disputes. You can report misuse to support@joinshiftcrew.com.
11. Ending use
You may stop using ShiftCrew at any time and request account removal by email. We may suspend or end access for violations or to protect users.
12. Your rights under state law
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the consumer-protection or privacy laws of your state that cannot be waived by contract.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you and ShiftCrew consent to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes
We may update these terms and will change the date above. Continuing to use ShiftCrew after an update means you accept it.
